About the Role:
Join our Connected Services team and work on an advanced AI and Digital Twin project for a major Japanese power company. You will help enhance predictive and optimization models for industrial operations, validate solutions through live-plant trials, and develop reusable frameworks for future deployments.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and improve machine learning and predictive models using Python.
Perform EDA, feature engineering, model tuning, validation, and sensitivity analysis.
Enhance optimization frameworks and evaluate optimizer results.
Translate operational requirements into practical AI/analytics solutions.
Support live-plant validation, root-cause analysis, and continuous model improvement.
Participate in customer discussions and clearly explain technical solutions.
Review code and support standardization and reusable solution development.

Minimum qualifications:
Around 6+ years of hands-on Data Science / Advanced Analytics experience.
Strong Python and Machine Learning skills.
Experience applying analytics or optimization techniques to industrial or operational processes.
Ability to define technical requirements and communicate solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have skills:
Experience with Digital Twins, Industrial IoT, Deep Learning, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Process Industries.
Experience working directly with customers or coaching technical teams.
Language Requirements:
English: Advanced Business Level (Able to independently handle meetings, presentations, and discussions with clients and internal stakeholders)
Japanese: Conversational / Basic Reading and Writing Level (Able to handle daily conversations, simple reading and writing, and basic business communication)

Manager/Supervisor classification: Nil (Classifiable depending on the case)
Working hours classification: Deemed working hours system
Category of deemed working hours system: Discretionary labor system for professional work
Deemed working hours per day: 8hrs
■Salary
Annual salary: *will be decided in consideration of candidates’ experiences and abilities.
Discretionary labor allowance: 60,000 JPY - 80,000 JPY
Overtime work allowance: By ordinary (Paid according to overtime working hours)

■Working hours
9:00 - 18:00
(Actual working hrs: 8hrs /Flex time system/ Core time: 10:00 - 16:00)
