■ Position Overview:
This role involves leading validation activities for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) simulation environments. The position requires expertise in automotive validation methodologies, test automation, system integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software development, system engineering, and vehicle testing teams.
■ About the Department:
Our department is responsible for ensuring the robust validation of ADAS functions through HIL/MIL environments. We focus on validating sensor fusion, perception, path planning, and control algorithms to ensure the safety and compliance of ADAS features. The team works closely with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies to deliver high-quality validation solutions.

■ Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead validation strategies for ADAS features using HIL/MIL test environments.
• Define and implement automated test frameworks for system validation and regression testing.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and vehicle testing teams to align test strategies with development roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 and SOTIF (ISO 21448).
• Define test cases, execute validation tests, analyze results, and provide detailed reports on system performance.
• Work with simulation tools and hardware platforms such as dSPACE, NI, Vector, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Troubleshoot validation issues, support root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain project documentation, including test plans, validation reports, and issue tracking logs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

■ Minimum Qualifications:
• Proven experience in ADAS validation using HIL/MIL methodologies.
• Strong understanding of automotive validation processes, system integration, and test automation.
• Experience with tools such as dSPACE, NI VeriStand, Vector CANoe, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, CAPL, or MATLAB for test automation.
• Knowledge of functional safety and ADAS-specific safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF, NCAP requirements).
• Experience in preparing validation reports and effectively communicating test results to stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
Languages:
• Japanese: Fluent
• English: Business Level
■ Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience in vehicle-level ADAS testing and validation.
• Knowledge of perception sensors (cameras, LiDAR, radar) and sensor fusion validation.
• Familiarity with scenario-based testing in simulation environments (CarMaker, VTD, PreScan).
• Experience in cloud-based validation frameworks for ADAS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation in automotive technology.

Working hours classification: Deemed working hours system

■Salary
Annual salary: *will be decided in consideration of candidates’ experiences and abilities.
Discretionary labor allowance: 60,000 JPY - 80,000 JPY
Overtime work allowance: By ordinary (Paid according to overtime working hours)

■Working hours
9:00 - 18:00
(Actual working hrs: 8hrs /Flex time system/ Core time: 10:00 - 16:00)
