About the project:
Multi-program engagement with leading Global Tier1 for end-to-end AD-ADAS System Development.
A multidisciplinary project team to work closely with Tiier1 for Project Management, System Architecture Design, Software Development (Base Software, Middleware & Application Software), AI Integration, System Integration,System Validation,Safety,Security & Process Compliance.
With a strong focus on quality, scalability, and governance, the engagement accelerates development cycles and supports the delivery of safe, intelligent and production & ready ADAS solutions.
About the position:
As a ADAS Verification & Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in testing autonomous driving vehicle algorithm.
-Hands‑on experience with structured V&V workflows: Design and execute MIL and SIL test cases, perform result analysis, and ensure full requirements‑to‑test traceability for ADAS features.
- Opportunity to develop deep expertise in ADAS behavior validation: Work on concrete functions such as ACC, AEB, LKA, sensor fusion logic, and decision algorithms, validating behavior across normal, boundary, and failure scenarios.
- Exposure to advanced simulation and automation environments: Use MATLAB Test, Simulink Test, Python‑based automation, and scenario‑based simulations to improve regression efficiency and coverage.
- Strong collaboration with algorithm developers and system engineers: Participate in requirement walkthroughs, defect triage, and model reviews, influencing design quality early in the development lifecycle.
- Clear visibility of quality impact: Your validation results directly influence release readiness, functional safety, and customer acceptance, making this role central to ADAS product success.

Job responsibilities: Daily execution of verification activities for ADAS algorithms, including test case implementation, simulation runs, and result analysis for C/C++ and Simulink‑based components
Preparation of test specifications, test cases, and test reports based on system and software requirements, using tools such as DOORS, Excel, MATLAB, or test management systems
Regular participation in requirement clarification and defect triage meetings with development and system teams (1–2 times per week) to ensure clear test coverage and issue resolution
Execution of MIL, SIL, and (where applicable) HIL testing, including automation of test scenarios and analysis of failures or performance deviations
Analysis of simulation results, log files, and vehicle/test bench data to identify root causes and support developers with reproducible defect information
Contribution to test coverage analysis, regression testing, and release readiness reviews, ensuring traceability between requirements, tests, and results
Test Scenario creation, Test execution, Test Result judgement and RCA for the detected issues and suggesting the potential correction to developer.

【Required skills】
Bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Electronics and commmunication or related fields
8+ year of hands-on experience in Application software verification and validation for Automotive ECU's. Hands‑on experience in verification and validation of embedded software or algorithms, using C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, or both
Experience in test case design and execution for model‑based or code‑based components
Ability to work within a structured development and quality process (e.g., V‑model, Agile) and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
【Language】
Japanese/English Bilingual
(Advance business level is a must requirement)
English for communication with offshore team and Japanese for communication with customers.
